For the past week or so, I’ve been working on the logos/icons for my Portfolio and Design portions of the site. I think I’m more or less done, but I’d love for some comments on either icon. If you have an idea about what could be added, removed, or changed, please mention it!
Please don’t tell me your going to use that really small one. 
Something that caught me was that the paintbrush as it is now doesn’t really fit with the shiny wood board and paint can. (IMO) Also, (in the larger sizes) the paintbrush could use some blue paint on the tip.
Some pluses: It’s not too crowded- this annoys the heck out of me, especially in really small icons. (I assume this isn’t going to be for anything smaller than the ones you posted.)
The composition fits what it is going to be used for.
Nice work with the paintbrush’s shadow.
It’s great work overall, just a few _little_ things.
@Khazy: I didn the standard icon “row” illustration, so I could make sure it looked good at all resolutions. It might look good at 512×512, but at 128×128 (or even 64×64) could be a different story.
I’ll have to play around with the paintbrush a bit, but I didn’t want to go overboard on the shiny, seeing as everyone else is doing that these days.
Once I do a few more revisions on the icon, I’ll post it back here.
Nice work, especially with the portfolio icon. I thought you could’ve maybe added something for the design icon: a water-color palette instead of the paper. Just an idea 
I would think the folder would look better with some papers in it to show you have a “full” portfolio, or one with something in it at least.
But there is nothing official in my portfolio as of now :–)
